Overview

Adbrew now lets you invite external Amazon account administrators to complete the Login with Amazon (LWA) authorisation on your behalf.

Instead of giving your Adbrew login to the person who manages Seller Central or Vendor Central, you can generate a secure, time-bound link that walks them through approving Adbrew's Selling Partner integration.

Once they finish, you can review and connect the account from the new Authorisation requests tab.

When to use shareable links?

Use a shareable link whenever the person with Adbrew access is different from the Amazon administrator who can grant Selling Partner permissions.

Typical scenarios include:

  • Agencies managing Adbrew on behalf of a brand whose internal team controls Seller/Vendor Central.

  • Organisations where Adbrew access is restricted to analysts, but account admins retain Amazon credentials. - Any situation where you need someone outside your Adbrew org to refresh or re-authorise an existing Amazon connection.

How to generate a link

  • Click on the Org icon and navigate to the account manager.

  • Navigate to the second "Selleor/Vendor accounts" tab and click on the + Account and select the Seller/Vendor type

  • Under the standard Amazon sign-in button, click Generate authorisation link.

  • Adbrew will create a unique request, copy the shareable URL, and show it in a dialog box.

  • Use Copy link to put the URL on your clipboard and share it with the person who has complete admin access to that Seller/Vendor account on Amazon.

Links currently expire after 72 hours.

  • When the user opens the link, they will see a simple screen displaying the account name, marketplace, account type, and a button labeled “Authorise on Amazon.”

  • Upon clicking the button, users will be redirected to Amazon and prompted to authenticate with the email ID that has access to their Seller or Vendor account.

  • After successful authentication, they will see a success message and can then close the page.

No Adbrew login is required for the external contact at any stage to authenticate their Seller/Vendor account.

Tracking progress in Adbrew

All generated links are listed under Accounts ManagerAuthorisation requests.

This table shows:

  1. Who requested the link and when it expires.

  2. Current status (Pending, Authorised, Expired, or Configured once linked).

  3. The Amazon user who completed the authorisation, when available.

  4. Quick actions for copying the link (while pending) or finishing setup once authorised.

Statuses update automatically as soon as the external admin completes the flow. Expired links remain visible for auditing but cannot be reused.

  • Once the status changes to Approved, you’ll see a one-click option in the Action column to add the authenticated Seller/Vendor account to Adbrew. Adbrew will reuse the stored refresh token to link the Selling Partner account.

  • It will take you to the configuration account window, where you can select the Sales Metric that you use on the Seller/Vendor Central to get the right data for your account.

  • Finally, click on save changes, and you’re all set.

Tips & troubleshooting

  • Invalid or expired link: Ask the Adbrew user to generate a fresh link; each URL is single-request and expires automatically.

  • Unsupported integration: Today only Amazon Selling Partner requests can be linked. Other integrations will display a notice if linking is unavailable.

  • Need to revoke access? Delete or relink the Amazon account from the usual Seller/Vendor accounts tab—this will invalidate the stored refresh token.

  • Security reminder: Only share links with trusted contacts. Each URL grants whoever completes it the ability to authorise Adbrew for the specified account.

FAQs

Can I reuse a link for multiple marketplaces?

No. Each link is tied to the specific account and marketplace chosen in the wizard.

Can external admins see Adbrew data?

No. They only access the Amazon login and confirmation pages. All data handling happens server-side once Adbrew receives the authorisation code.

What happens if the external admin closes the window too soon?

If the Amazon authorisation succeeded, the callback still processes in the background. The request will appear as Authorised in Adbrew within a few seconds.
