Navigating the Smart Recommendations Page
Accessing the Page: Navigate to the "Smart Recommendations" page from the left sidebar menu.
Tabs: There are three main tabs to explore: Bid Recommendations, Negative Recommendations, and Target Recommendations.
1. Bid Recommendations
Adbrew’s Smart Recommendations analyze 30 days of target data to suggest bid increases or decreases based on the following performance criteria:
Increase Bids if:
Low ACOS
Limited clicks
Low CTR (Click-Through Rate)
Limited spend
Decrease Bids if:
High ACOS
Low conversion rate
High clicks with no orders
High spend with no orders
Each recommendation includes detailed data points, such as the current bid, recommended bid, performance metrics, and the reason for the recommendation.
Example:
Increase Bid: A low ACOS target suggests potential for more sales with a higher bid.
Decrease Bid: A high ACOS target suggests reducing the bid to control costs.

2. Negative Recommendations
Adbrew’s engine reviews search term data over the last 30 days to flag non-converting or high-cost terms for negative targeting, helping you manage spend and improve ad efficiency.
Criteria for Negative Recommendations:
High ACOS
High clicks with no orders
Applying Negative Recommendations
Selection: Choose the suggested negative keywords or products.
Apply: Click "Apply" to add these as negative exact keywords or products in the source ad group.
3. Target Recommendations
Target recommendations help uncover new keyword opportunities across different match types by analyzing converting search terms from the last 30 days. This identifies search terms that have not yet been targeted in broad, phrase, exact, or AINS match types but are performing well in your existing campaigns through a different match type.
Applying Target Recommendations
Filter Missing Match Types: Use filters to identify search terms that are missing one or more match types.
Adding to Ad Groups:

Adbrew pre-fills match type and bid values based on recommended CPC and suggested match type of the search term.
Smart Recommendations FAQs
What are Adbrew’s Smart Recommendations?
Adbrew’s Smart Recommendations are automated suggestions designed to improve your Amazon advertising campaigns. They include recommendations for bid adjustments, adding negative keywords, and expanding targeting to untapped match types. The suggestions are based on performance metrics from the last 30 days and can be applied in bulk for quick, efficient optimizations.
How often should I apply bid recommendations?
If you’re using automated bid optimization rules, frequent application of bid recommendations may not be necessary. However, it’s beneficial to apply these recommendations during special occasions like peak sales events to adjust for high-performing targets or reduce spend on low-performing ones.
What criteria does Adbrew use for bid recommendations?
Adbrew analyzes your targets based on the l;last 30 days of performance data. Bids may be increased if a target has low ACOS, limited clicks, or low spend, indicating a potential for more sales. Conversely, bids are decreased if a target has high ACOS, low conversion rate, or high clicks without orders, which suggests over-spending on ineffective targets.
How do I review which recommendations have been applied?
You can view a history of applied recommendations by clicking on the "View History" link in the Smart Recommendations page. This log provides a record of all bid, negative keyword, and target adjustments made within a selected date range, allowing you to track changes over time.
What is the advantage of using Adbrew’s Smart Recommendations over manual optimization?
Smart Recommendations save time and improve accuracy by analyzing performance data and providing actionable suggestions in bulk. This data-driven approach ensures that optimizations are made consistently and strategically, allowing you to focus on higher-level campaign strategies while improving efficiency.
Will Smart Recommendations interfere with existing bid automation rules?
No, Smart Recommendations and bid automation can work together. If you already use bid automation, it’s generally not necessary to apply bid recommendations frequently. Instead, consider applying them selectively, especially during high-traffic events, to align with your short-term goals without disrupting ongoing bid adjustments.
