Product Explorer is a comprehensive dashboard that provides a unified view of all your advertised Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (ASINs). It displays detailed metrics, enables bulk management actions, and offers advanced filtering capabilities for your product advertising campaigns.

Note - Please keep in mind that only products that have been advertised at any point in your account will be shown on the Product Explorer page. If a product has never been advertised, it won't appear here. You’ll need to create an ad campaign for any new product from the Ad Console or Adbrew to start seeing them.

Key Features

1. Product Details

Each ASIN entry includes:

  • Image: A quick visual reference of the ASIN.

  • Title & Brand Name: Full product title and associated brand.

  • Price & Bestseller Rank (BSR) Trends: View historical price changes and BSR trends over a selected period.

  • Category & SKU: Categorization details for inventory management.

  • Availability: In-stock, out-of-stock, or in-stock with low inventory status.

  • Labels: Custom labels or tags to easily filter products (e.g., category or campaign type). Advertisers has flexibility to create any labels for their products and group them together.

2. Targeting Overview

  • This section shows the types of targeting (broad, phrase, exact, auto, product, and category) currently used for each ASIN. It highlights any missing targeting types, allowing you to identify where further targeting might be beneficial.

3. Performance Metrics

  • Aggregated advertising data for each ASIN across all ad groups, including ACoS, spend, sales, and orders.

  • Halo Conversions: Insights into cases where the ASIN's ads result in sales for related ASINs or SKUs, which helps in evaluating the impact on other products.

  • Organic Metrics: Available upon linking your Seller Central account, these show combined metrics for organic and ad-driven performance, including sessions, page views, and ordered revenue.

  • Expanded View: Expanding a row displays performance metrics specific to each ad group where the product is advertised for more granular analysis of the ASIN's advertising data.

Bulk Actions Available

The Product Explorer offers various bulk actions to simplify campaign management for multiple ASINs simultaneously:

1. Update State

  • Pause or enable ASINs in bulk across campaigns. This is especially useful if you want to disable high ACoS products from all associated campaigns.

2. Advertise Products

  • Advertise selected ASINs in other ad groups or campaigns directly from this page. For example, if you’re launching a new campaign, select ASINs, assign an ad group, and click “Submit.”

3. Launch Campaigns

  • Quickly initiate new campaigns for selected products. For more detailed instructions, refer to the Campaign Launch tutorial.

4. Add Labels

  • Apply custom labels or categories to products for easy filtering and management across the platform.

5. Plot & Graph Trends

  • Visualize daily, weekly, or monthly trends for performance metrics such as spend or sales. This is useful for tracking performance changes over time and understanding seasonal or promotional impacts.

6. Target Products

  • Add ASINs as targets in branded or competitor targeting campaigns for defensive advertising. This helps control visibility in specific areas.

7. Negative Targeting

  • Exclude ASINs as targets in certain campaigns to prevent showing ads on them.

8. Product Goals

  • Create product goals for the selected ASINs.

9. Brand Terms

  • Add selected ASINs as branded terms which can be further used for reporting and rulesets creation.

9. Copy List

  • Copy the lists of selected ASIN names for reporting or transferring data elsewhere.

Filter & Save Custom Filters

To streamline workflow and improve efficiency:

  • Filter Options: Refine the product list based on specific criteria like ACoS thresholds, spend, stock status, etc. For example, filter by ACoS > 30% to identify products with high ad spend relative to sales.

  • Save Filters: Save frequently used filters (e.g., high-performing products, out-of-stock items) for quick access. Saved filters allow for one-click application on future visits to the Product Explorer.

Product Explorer FAQ

Which products appear in the Product Explorer?

Only products that have been advertised at any point in your account will appear here. If you've never run an ad campaign for a product, it won't be visible in the Product Explorer.

What types of data can I see for each product?

You can see three main types of data:

  • Product details (price, BSR, availability, brand name, title)

  • Advertising performance data (spend, sales, ACOS)

  • Overall performance data (sessions, page views, ordered revenue)

How can I track price and BSR trends?

Click on the price or bestseller rank trends metric to see how these metrics have changed over your selected time period.

What are labels in Product Explorer?

Labels are custom tags you can add to products for easy filtering and grouping. You can create any type of label to organize products according to your needs.

What are Halo Conversions?

Halo Conversions occur when ads for one ASIN result in sales of related ASINs or SKUs. For example, if someone clicks an ad for a red shirt but buys a blue shirt instead, Amazon attributes the sale to the red shirt's ad. To find out Halo conversions, you can look at the "Sales same SKU" and "Units same SKU" metrics to show actual sales for the advertised ASIN only. Click on the highlighted number under the “Units (Same SKU)” column to open the detailed view and see which ASINs were purchased from a single product’s ad. The difference between the value of “Sales” and “Sales (Same SKU)” columns is the amount of Halo Conversion sales that were made in the given time period.

How do I pause multiple products at once?

  1. On the Product Explorer page, Select the products you want to pause

  2. Click on Actions

  3. Choose "Update State"

  4. Select "Pause"

  5. Click "Update"

How do I advertise multiple products in existing campaigns?

  1. Select the products you want to advertise

  2. Click on Actions

  3. Choose "Advertise Products"

  4. Select the target ad groups

  5. Use "Copy to all" if you want to apply the same ad groups to all selected products

  6. Click Submit

Do I need to connect my Seller Central account to see all metrics?

Yes, to view overall performance metrics (like sessions and page views), you need to connect your seller or vendor accounts with AdBrew.

Can I export product lists or data?

Yes, you can click on the three-dot icons appearing at the top right of the table and choose export.

Why Organic data is now showing for my products?

You may not have connected your Seller or Vendor account with Adbrew.

Does Product Explorer include Sponsored Brands Campaign data?

No, Product Explorer does not include data from Sponsored Brands campaigns. Amazon does not provide product-level performance data for Sponsored Brands due to the nature of these ads, which often promote multiple products or a store page within a single ad.

How can I view SKU-wise ad performance?

From the Product Explorer page in Adbrew, you can view ad performance at the SKU level. Although reporting may initially appear to be at the ASIN level, you’ll find each associated SKU listed under the Product Details column. If an ASIN has multiple SKUs, each SKU appears as a separate row under the same ASIN, making it easy to distinguish between them. Additionally, you can filter the report to view specific SKUs or a set of SKUs, allowing for a more detailed performance analysis.

Why is the total data on Product Explorer not matching the total data on my dashboard?

The product explorer page can only show the data for the Sponsored Product and Sponsored Display campaigns. As amazon does not track the product level data for Sponsored Brand ads, that data cannot be shown on the Product Explorer page. This is the reason that there is a difference between the data on the Product Explorer Page and the Account Total.

Why are MFN quantity and Days of Supply columns missing in the Product Explorer export?

In Product Explorer, click on the three dots and select ‘Edit Columns.’ Ensure that both MFN and Days of Supply are enabled.

How can I view products that are in stock or out of stock in Adbrew?

To view the availability of a product, you can use the Product Explorer page. Apply the Availability filter to sort the ASINs based on their stock status.
